Slowly but surely Downtown Kayoto is becoming one of the most promising acts to come out of the UK’s music scene right now. The Hull based musician has been on the rise as of late with a string of stellar releases with Feels Like and Slide Like being outstanding tracks that showcased the diverse set of talents he had on display, be it his lyrical prowess, engaging production or passionate vocal performance, he has it all. Easy to see why he’s being tipped for great things.
He recently came out with another brilliant track titled Do Better which is best described as unskippable. The vocal is utterly divine with a great flow in the rapping sections that I freaking adore, a textured soundscape that has so much depth to it and his usual poignantly placed lyrics that never disappoint. His music has that something special to it that I keep finding myself repeatedly coming to and I am fully expecting great things from this young musician.
