Ricky Himself recently popped onto our radar through his brooding dark R&B debut Alive Again. It was a tantalising first release that got us intrigued by what else he was capable of, then he dropped SCREAM, a collaboration with Kailee Morgue, and he pretty much blew all our expectations out of the water and into the stratosphere with this one.
He pulls us in with his lusciously tone vocal that pierces through the richly atmospheric production before having us completely enthralled by the poetic lyrical display. The main flair comes from the way the productions fuses the classic R&B sensibilities with the more hip hop influenced production before delivering some pop hooks that will end up being stuck in your head for weeks to come. Take all that and add in Morgue’s vocal that adds another layer to the sonic storytelling and you’ve got something that shows this is just the start for this artist.
