Freeds – Goldmine

Baring your soul to the world as a musician can be an incredibly difficult thing to do as you’re sharing personal thoughts, private feelings and intimate stories with a wider public whom you’ve never met and have no clue how they’re going to take it all. However some of the best music that artists produce is often them being their most honest, Fleetwood Mac’s album Rumours is a prime example of this, and today we’ve got Freeds demonstrating just that.

His latest single Goldmine sees the artist abandon his usual summery cheery sound and replace it with a more intimate and somber sound that allows his storytelling to take centre stage with his candid lyricisms creating an instant connection that allows you to lose yourself within the music. It’s simple, melodic and shows the potential that this young Australian musician has to create some rather compelling music.
