KiD RAiN – Say Yes

-

If you’re a loyal follower of the pop scene here in the UK scene then the name Dan Reynard should be very familiar as he’s already toured with The Vamps on their nationwide tour. However today he’s starting his solo journey under the new pseudonym KiD RAiN and, as expected, his debut Say Yes is an indie pop banger that will effortlessly put a smile on your face with its irresistible charm and happy-go-lucky nature that could easily dominate the airwaves for weeks to come.

“Say Yes has a very personal spot in my heart because believe it or not, by the time I was 19 years young I had already proposed to 12 people and 2 animals,” he explains. “They all liked me I think but apparently the ‘timing wasn’t right’ haha you get it. Haven’t seen them since but it’s cool. Anyway this song is about realising you’ve found ‘the one’ and praying they don’t reject you like the 12 other people and 2 animals before them.”

Honestly this is everything I love about modern pop, the feel good vibes, the insatiable melodies, addictive rhythm and just a genuine good time all around. The track is a explosion of colour with it having the potential to be a big hit, especially with a hook so catchy that it’s going to take an excavation team to get it our of my head, and that is translated through the music video too with it being filmed in the most colourful village in the world Kampung Warna Warni Jodipan. The whole piece is just pop music at its finest and I cannot recommend listening to it enough.
