Tycho Jones – Don’t Be Afraid

Anyone with anxiety can tell you that even at the best of times it can be a royal pain in the ass as the artist Tycho Jones unfortunately knows. The London newcomer recently went through a rough patch with anxiety that eventually lead to him to writing the poignant piece titled Don’t Be Afraid, a reassuring single that’s designed to bring you back to a good place, hence his internal self-motivating mantra, “Tycho don’t be afraid, cause it’s never to late.”

Speaking to A1234 Tycho said, “Don’t Be Afraid was a song I wrote while going through a deep patch of anxiety whilst in New Zealand. After three intense days of isolation and panic attacks, it just poured out of me. Most of the song was a freestyle that was my unconscious trying to encourage myself to focus on reality and get out of my head.”

If you’ve listened to Tycho’s previous tracks you’ll know he tackles his own personal issues with his lyrics being the definition of pure poetry in how they unveil his own inner monologue of emotion over a brooding indie backdrop. However the thing I admire most about his songwriting is that he never sacrifices his honesty in his writing, he puts his heart and soul into his music and you can feel that word for word with every lyric he’s able to deliver. A true talent.
