The era of the bedroom artists has brought through some utterly spellbinding pieces of music as well as artists that might not have been heard if it wasn’t for these advancements in music technology. A good example of that for me is the Australian artist ARIA who’s latest single No Good was written, produced and recorded all within his bedroom and it’s certainly an intimately beautiful affair to say the very least. The sparse production lets the emotion of his vocal build with little electronic flourishes scatter throughout the ambient soundscape adding a bit of flair to that spaced out sound. Combine all that with a poignant lyrical display that’s reminiscent of EDEN and you’ve got a prime example of how stellar bedroom pop can be.
