Back in 2013 I think it would be safe to say that my track of the year was Milky Chance’s impeccable single Stolen Dance as there was just something about the voice, melody and alluring nature of the track that just made me fall in love with it. Now I’m happy to see the dynamic duo make a return with a collaboration with the insanely talent Tash Sultana in the single Day Dreaming.

“It’s not just a daydream, it’s more like a vision of how things could be, and where you could go,” Milky Chance explain. “It’s about those mechanisms that starts working when you don’t know how to deal with reality.”

What I like about this single is the reggae vibes that are coming from the production with the addictive melodies transporting me straight away to the Caribbean. Both individuals add their own special flair to each of their verses with Sultana’s being a more soulful take whilst Milky Chance go for a more alternative approach. It’s a track that is perfect for long summer drives down the beach, relaxing in the sun or even just a simple BBQ with your friends, whatever the event this summer make sure this is playing out for all to hear.
