I’m gonna start off by saying Approachable Members of Your Local Community is the best band name I’ve ever seen and the fact they’re collaborating with Heaps Good Friends amplifies this even further. If you’re not sold on the name then you’ll definitely be sold on their wonderfully jubilant music, like their latest track One I Need.
This is just one of those songs that can instantly put a smile on your face with a happy go luck atmosphere created by a buoyant production featuring a glistening array of synths that makes the track feel like it’s from a John Hughes film and a head boppingly good percussion section to match. The vocals from both acts blend effortlessly together to create a harmonious balance between them, especially during the chorus which is undoubtably one of the best things to come out of 2019 so far. Combine all that with sensational lyrics and a slick single cover and you’ve got one of my favourite tracks of the year, hands down!
Approachable Members of Your Local Community and Heaps Good Friends have managed to create one of the most wonderfully uplifting and energising tracks of 2019 in One I Need that I cannot help but fall in love with. Seriously, it’s just a piece of musical brilliance!
