It’s been a long time since New Jersey native Baker Grace last released music but if waiting that long means we get pop gems like her latest track then it is more than worth the wait. The 18 year old artist certainly makes a grand entrance into 2019 with a forward thinking pop anthem carrying a positive message about taking care of ones mental health in the modern era.

The lyrics of Wrong Kind Of People deal with a lot of relatable problems such as not liking what you see in the mirror, appearing okay from the outside when you’re not inside and wondering how many friends we really have. These thoughtful lyrics are delivered perfectly with Grace’s solemn vocal delicately singing them over the minimalistic production featuring a dreamily textured soundscape, alluring rhythmic beats and a luscious melody too that all put the main focus on the lyrics. Combine all of this with a music video directed by Chuck Willis and you’re in for a treat.

In the modern era Wrong Kind Of People is pop anthem that we need and Baker Grace’s intelligent writing, celestial vocal and unique pop melodies have arrived at a time when they were needed most.
