Previously the rising UK based R&B starlet Dolapo has impressed us with her debut Blink Of An Eye that eventually found itself being Radio 1xtra’s track of the week. Soon after that she came out with the banger Down featuring Louis Rei that was the perfect track for any party playlist, each party I’ve been to I’ve played this and almost everyone in the room wants it played again.
Now we’ve arrived in 2019 and it looks like nothing is going to stop Dolapo from becoming the next big R&B star to come out of the UK. Her first release of the year, Skin, is a brooding track that allows her lusciously smooth vocal to shine with the minimalistic production providing a dark backing to give this track that flair and finesse that we’ve come to expect from her. Fuse all of that with the sultry vocals and a good bass line and you’ve got another piece of outstanding music from Dolapo.
With every release Dolapo further cements herself as one of the most exciting rising stars to come out of the UK in recent times. Skin allows her to show off her ability even further and we are excited to see what else she has to offer in the future.
