There are some artists in this world that you can just listen to over and over again and never get bored or tired with what they do. Rosie Carney is that artist for us. This Irish enchantress has released a plethora of intimately beautiful tracks with the likes of Winter and Orchid being personal favourites of ours and in around two weeks she will be releasing her debut album Bare. It only makes sense that she’d release a new single to promote the album that looks set to be one of the best of the year.

Your Love Is Holy captures the feeling of falling in love for the first time. That feeling of this love is special and nothing else matters, you put so much faith into that love that it becomes the only thing you believe in. Holy is the most perfect word Carney could’ve have chosen for this song. The soothing guitar melody leads the track with her magical vocals gliding over them to create a feeling of purity and an intimate atmosphere too that makes it feel as if Carney is personally telling you the story of her first love.

However one part of this track that sets it apart from the rest is that towards the end of the song Carney begins to go into the end of love. Most love songs focus on the start or end of love whilst this one focuses on both of them and does so perfectly. This lyric at the end of the track is simply divine, “Ohh, your stars are shining / But i’ll never be your moon.”

Rosie Carney is a special artist who shines brighter than any star and Your Love Is Holy is the crowning jewel of her musical crown. Her debut album Bare really is going to be something extraordinarily special.
