Combining pop punk and folk music together seems like a mashup that should never work but the band Black Water County have turned it into a match made in heaven. Honestly their sound combines that rebellious and infectious spirit that comes from pop punk music but fuses it with these folk instrumentations that, when put together, make you smile from ear to ear. Honestly this song has made me smile more than any other song I’ve listened to in a long time.
There Will Be A Day offers a high octane look into relationships, people we meet on the road and their own personal experiences of growing up whilst looking through the bottom of a pint glass. Production wise this track is on another level, I mean they’ve got a freaking banjo being subtly played in the background behind some heavy rock guitars and it actually works to an insanely high degree and that is what makes this track really shine. The fact that it’s unconventional, different and downright bonkers makes it something that you’ll want to come back to again and again and again.
