Charlotte-based duo, ahaComa are the originators of a new musical genre that they’s playfully called American Daydream Music and after one listen of their latest offering After the Magic I can easily see what they mean. Their brand of music is made for those lazy afternoons, dull days at work and long train journeys where you’re just able to stare into the abyss and free to let your mind wander away to the land of make believe.
What I adore about this piece is the melodic nature of the production that makes you want to sway from side to side and sing along with a cheesy grin on your face. It’s got that charm of a camp fire song where you just acknowledge the beauty and fun happening around you, it’s got that special magic to it that makes you just feel like everything is alright with the world.
