London based singer songwriter and pianist Charlotte Kaye has an extremely powerful vocal and she demonstrates it effortlessly here in her latest single Predictable. The track itself is about a relationship where your partner becomes predictable, the good, the bad and everything in-between and as a result you begin to feed off that predictability.
Production wise the song knows how to make Kaye’s vocal shine throughout the piece. The somber piano melodies instantly create this dramatic atmosphere with the anthemic drum beats and rustic guitar plucking adding to this and, as a result, makes that brassy sound in her voice shine. Add in a chorus that sounds like something off of a James Bond song and impressive amount of attitude to the vocal and you’ve got a powerful single.
