I have to say that Jill Blutt is a DIY artist in the truest sense of the word, with her not only recording, writing and producing her latest track Dopamine but also creating the artwork for it too. She’s a Jill of all trades, couldn’t resist putting that in. Honestly you’ve got to give her a lot of credit for doing all of that especially when you listen to how slick and well made this song is.
There really is something so compelling about this track with the laidback melancholy vocals of Blutt floating gently over the more ominous hip hop styled production with her softly singing the alluring lyrics. The best way to describe this song is that it’s like someone got the brooding beats of Lorde, the solemn yet evocative vocals of Lana Del Rey and the captivating yet quirky vocal styling of Billie Eilish. More than worth a listen.
