Sometimes after a long day at work you need some feel good pop music to just lift your mood up and make you want to dance around like nobody is watching and the debut single from Nicolas McCoppin has definitely done that. The best way to describe his debut is that it’s like a male version of Carly Rae Jepsen mixed with a bit of Wham! and I’m kind of addicted to it.
There’s a buoyancy to the synths in Stuck that makes you want to leap up and groove along to the beat and when you add his enthusiastic vocals into the mix it becomes a real mission to not sing along to that ear worm of a chorus. I love the 80’s flair the track has too, it kind of makes it impossible to smile throughout and even now I find myself swaying along to the melody whilst smiling like someones told me Charli XCX has been crowned the queen of pop (finally). It’s classic feel good pop with a bit cheesiness thrown in there that, in all honesty, elevates this track further and makes it quite the bop.
