When an artist strips back the high quality production of their songs and offers a bare bones track that manages to keep you captivated from start to finish, then you know you’re onto something special. Well that’s exactly what I’m feeling with LA based pop and RnB singer Caroline Grace who’s latest offering High has chills tingling down my spine from the first few notes of her voice.
The track is minimalistic with an electric guitar and finger clicks leading the majority of the production which makes you focus intently on Grace’s smooth vocal. The lyrics are poignantly written and feeling like incite into her life that creates a more intimate setting for the track, it’s almost like she’s a close friend telling you her stories at a bar late one night. It’s one of those songs that you really want to see live to feel the full emotional impact of her emotionally enthralling vocal and engaging production.
