You might not know the name Dan Diggas but you’ll of heard his production talents Mahalia, Sinead Hartnett, SG Lewis and Tiana Major9 to name but a few but today he’s stepping out from behind the curtain and into the spotlight as a new solo artist with his debut track. His production work, as you can clearly see, has spanned multiple genres ranging from R&B all the way to Jazz and No Drama effortlessly showcases that perfectly whilst detailing a couples ongoing debate.
Speaking on the track release Dan Diggas said: “This track depicts a relationship between a couple where a man is trying to charm a previous love, in the track he tries to reconcile the relationship by getting past her insecurities, promising to give her everything she needs with no drama (no issues). On the other hand the woman feels that she’s been down this road before and thinks nothing has changed, yet still tempted by his advances.”
With a production comprised of gritty hi-hats, bombastic bass lines and luscious R&B guitar riffs you find yourself immediately drawn into his sonic universe before the J Warner and Marie Dahlstrom come in with their evocative vocal tones that elevate the track to a whole new level. Everything comes together to tell this story of love in gorgeous fashion as the vocals melt into one another and the production provides an intimate ambiance that makes everything feel all the more real. Elegant debut with some undeniable talent on display.
