Julietta caught our attention in a big way back in 2019 with the release of her stellar track Smooth Sailing, there was just something about it that stood out amongst the usual pop crowd and has us falling head over heels for her ethereal brand of contemporary pop music. Since then she’s announced that she will soon be releasing a new EP titled Levitate which explores her strength and perseverance from adolescence through to adulthood and released the title track from it too.
Today she’s unveiled the second single title Gotta Get Up which she describes the meaning as, “That feeling when you wake up everyday with anxiety telling you go go go’ but you have nowhere to go. Life just wants you to stay put and be patient.” The production of the track reflects this message expertly with the production starting off at a calming pace before building to the chorus that thrusts the track forward into new territories with passionate guitar riffs and spaced out beats all being present. Her airy vocal is then the cherry on top of the track as it delicately floats over everything like a feather in the breeze.
