I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, right now Scotland’s independent music scene is one of the best in the world with countless new artists coming out of the country who’re absolutely outstanding to say the very least. The Mos Capri Experiment is one of those artists who exploded onto the scene in 2019 with her debut single Tug of War which heightened our interested with her hypnotising vocals mixed with her poetic lyrical prowess and got us excited for what she was going to come out with next.
Today she’s unveiled her follow up single titled Rising Star, a track that carries strong undertones of hope and recovery with the piece detailing the artists own ascent out of a dark place in her life. The lyrics are pure poetry with them telling the story of the track beautifully as the spaced out production of tender synths and piano melodies creates an intimate atmosphere that invites you into her world where the emotion begins to hit your harder than you ever expected. The title of this track is essentially what The Mos Capri Experiment is and we cannot wait to hear more.
