Genuinely how can you not love KiD RAiN? His brand of pop music has such a brilliant feeling to it, the more I listen to his music the more I find myself falling head over heels for his unapologetic, feel good and nostalgic brand of sensational pop. His debut captured our heart and now his follow up, Bored of Love, has us completely head over heels for his sound with hugely relatable lyrics of the track as well as the fact he wrote, produced, performed and mixed the whole piece himself.
“Do you ever feel like you just need a break?” He begins to explain. “Not just from work… a break from everything, a break from life, time to focus on yourself, give yourself the time instead of giving it to someone else. No hard feelings, but I want to binge this Netflix show by myself this time”
The best way to describe this track is that it’s the Ross and Rachel anthem (WE WERE ON A BREAK) with the whole piece focusing on lovers who need a break from each other. It’s like combining The 1975 with LAUV, you get an infectious pop track that also carries a tender emotion to it that makes it perfect for singing out loud into a microphone in your room. This is the type of pop music that could dominate the charts in the near future and, honestly, I am 100% here for that.
