The glitchy tones of Deborah’s Child is something I’ve been unable to get out of my head over the past few days with Chokin’s insatiable hooks and enticing melodies being firmly lodged into my cranium. Think I’m going to need an excavation team to get them out, but hey I’m not gonna complain because I’m love it. Some of her previous releases had show these little flourishes of glitched out vocal inflections but here she’s full embraced them by going all out to create an experimental pop jam that pushes the boat out and into brand new territories in the pop world. It’s exciting, unique and has that special flair that makes me want to hear it over and over again.
Experimental pop doesn’t get better than Deborah’s Child’s song “Chokin”
