When you get the Czech National Symphony on a track then you immediately know you’re in for something special and that’s certainly the case with the Danish singer songwriter Ronny Morris. Today he’s dropped the single Still, a song about coming out of the depression, and it’s quite frankly spellbinding.
The orchestral backdrop manages to convey a whole story of the journey of Depression with the more somber beginnings of just a tender guitar melody before slowly building into this hopeful grand ending that belongs at the end of an Oscar winning movie. Morris’s vocals ooze emotion with the poetic lyrics only adding to that vocal performance, along with Shayna Steele’s divine performance at the end, until the very end where you’ll find yourself reaching for the tissues.
